Jess Song is a Korean American artist, writer, and workshop facilitator in NYC. Through Back to Self, she teaches emotion-focused therapeutic journaling as a tool for healing, self-awareness, and mental health.

Committed to bridging cultural gaps in emotional health, Jess spent 15 years working with underserved immigrant / diaspora / 2nd-generation populations developing emotional development programs and trainings. She learned there is immense healing in shifting the way we process, communicate, and navigate our emotions -- especially the difficult ones. Jess hopes to increase access to such tools outside of therapy.

With Back to Self’s journaling workshops, Jess aims to bring trauma-informed counseling, healthy communication, and healthy relationship frameworks into a daily, accessible, and deeply personal practice.
