“This workshop was incredibly insightful and gave me tools from which to have a productive and healthy conversation with myself. I felt that I could use what was discussed and learned to really map out my feelings and emotions well while connecting them to larger issues that may range from my past to systematic ones. It exceeded all my expectations and is something I seriously think about each day.”
“For someone who never journals, I was shocked I was able to fill in 10 mins of non stop writing after learning what was discussed during the workshop and the prompt given at the end.Jess explained everything superbly, in a way even a novice like me can understand and take away from. Listening to everyone’s experience with journaling, and also their stories, helped me understand that self-talk on paper brings clarity, relief, and sometimes answers.I usually only put my thoughts on paper when I have a goal or a problem. What I hope to gain from that is clarity on a solution. Now, after attending the workshop, I can write about other things, deeper things.Highly recommend this workshop for anyone trying to figure things out.”
“I liked that it really made me go through my emotions, and that you included actual techniques & science to back everything. I often find it difficult to understand emotions/therapy etc when they are in broad constructs like in a book - but your approach was very understandable. This workshop would be very good for someone like me, who has never been to therapy before, but wants to get more in touch w their emotions. Honestly, I could have probably been at the journaling session for longer — I didn’t even realize how quickly it went by! But I think it was the right amount of time!”
“What a powerful and thought-provoking experience! I wasn’t sure how this workshop would be held, but I was blown away by how prepared you were and how you guided us into exploring ourselves. I learned so many new things regarding journaling in general, myself, my triggers/fears, and how I react to them.”
“As a lifelong therapy patient, I have always struggled to connect with and be open with people- including myself. I think that your workshop addressed some very tangible journaling practices I can take in order to be more observant and honest with how I am feeling and what I can do to reframe what I am experiencing in a way that makes sense.I especially loved speaking to another person about their experiences, because most people feel very alone in how they are feeling or experiencing things- and it’s not always the truth!”
